MPP Barrett and Mayor Travale Meet On Key Norfolk Issues

Simcoe – Haldimand-Norfolk-Brant MPP Toby Barrett and Norfolk Mayor Dennis Travale met Tuesday to discuss some of the key issues currently facing Norfolk County.

Issues ranging from the need for an agri-food innovation centre to the need for all levels of government to fight for a tobacco exit, as well as the need for a Lake Erie pipeline for water distribution.

“It’s essential to put forth an agenda,” MPP Barrett said. “By doing so, everyone involved understands the issues that better enable us to strengthen our rural and small town economy.”

Mayor Travale echoed the sentiments, adding: “Both Mr. Barrett and I recognize the challenges ahead and believe that with hard work we will be able to achieve tangible results.”

The pair decided that it would be beneficial to meet periodically on the key issues affecting Norfolk County.
