Karen’s Quest Continues North Through Norfolk and Brant

Pinegrove – Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Toby Barrett joined Karen’s Quest today as locals continued a 500 km walk from Backus Heritage Conservation Area to Lions Camp in Dorset, Ontario, to raise money for those with kidney disease.

Sherry Welsh has organized the journey in memory of her sister Karen and the many other families that suffer from kidney disease. MPP Barrett walked with Sherry this afternoon along McDowell Road to Pinegrove as she continued the journey which is expected to take about 35 days.

Along the way, participants are picking up appropriate recyclables to help fund the journey. Anyone interested in joining the walk or should contact Sherry at 519-909-9780. Today, the walk is expected to pass through Vanessa on Monday and Bishops Gate on Tuesday.
