Barrett invites constituents to New Year’s Levee

Queen’s Park – Haldimand-Norfolk-Brant MPP Toby Barrett is continuing his tradition of a New Year’s Levee.

This year, Barrett will be hosting the event at the Old Town Hall in Waterford (corner of Main Street and Temperance Street), on January 9, 2005, between 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

“Each January, I hold a New Year’s Levee – a Cider Party – and I invite all my constituents to come and share their feelings about the year ahead,” Barrett said. “ I do hope many of you can come see me on January 9th; if you cannot make it then please accept my best wishes for 2005.”

Despite the fact that in days gone by, New Year’s Levees were boisterous affairs, MPP Barrett said the stiffest drink on tap will be hot apple cider served with cookies.
